I mean really what is there to say, two winners in their own respect get together for an a very dope project. A Game In The Life will premiere at the Tribeca film festival on April 25th. It covers Kobe Bryant rise to the finals through the 2008 playoffs from the eyes of one of the greatest cinematographers of our lifetime. The intro to He Got Game says enough, let alone its timing as we ready for the 2009 playoffs in what could be a championship run for the Lakers. Stay tuned for more.
A very interesting article in the New York Times The Moment blog today. What is Authentic? What is following a trend? What is truly traditional? This article attempts to delve into some of those questions, highlighting some of the better blogs of the moment.
I talked to Chuck yesterday, he said Gone Fishin the Mixtape is out of control craze. As he puts it some of the best shit they've cooked up in a while. Rumor has it, it's going to drop the Friday after Asher Roth's highly anticipated release. Definitely stay tuned, Chuck never lies when it comes to his music. Oh by the way we're partying on Saturday for Creme De La Creme here in Chicago. Come kick it!! We got next.
With this release it goes to show that the culture of collecting shoes is alive and well, it was just waiting for a product to get excited about. Check it out.
So many females, so much inspiration. Viva La Flaca sends a daily email highlighting both models and photographers, definitely a good way to start the day.
“I am here to seduce you into a love of life; to help you to become a little more poetic; to help you die to the mundane and to the ordinary so that the extraordinary explodes in your life.” - Osho
New Jrs Rules is up. I find myself obsessing over the next collection of pictures, as well as getting hype when I recognize where pictures are from. Yeah I know, its some nerdy shit. Peep.

I love how this game is turning in to a story of "Detroit needs this, the State of Michigan needs this" as said by Magic Johnson. It's become more than just a basketball game, but isn't that how classic runs in the tournament are made. Not to put any pressure outside of winning this game on these kids but I mean really think about it. The Motor city in it's worst shape ever, the car industry gone awry looking for help from the Obama administration just earlier this week. A state that has seen the highest unemployment rate in the nation in the last few years wants something, needs something to distract them from the financial turmoil that has strained a nation. This is how it becomes bigger than just a game, it becomes 40 minutes of hope, 40 minutes of distraction from whatever it is that's going wrong. It has become Spartan basketball at it's finest, an instant classic if they win. Dare I say upset. LET'S GO STATE!!!
I first met Jade while living with Chuck of the Cool Kids, almost 3 or 4 years ago now. This was before anyone was famous, before Black Mags, before Mikey Rocks, the beginnings of what has become C.A.K.E recordings. Jade came to work with Chuck on some music, she always had a beautiful voice, and a brilliant personality. You know how some people just have that glow like they've been hanging out with Bruce Leroy. Well she definitely had the glow, and didn't act like it either. Finally her EP is ready for the world to here, I would highly suggest you check her out.
